The PHOOD project

The PHOOD project (i.e., Photonics-based RADAR/LIDAR combined coherent sensor for advanced precision agriculture) aims at developing the first combined RADAR-LIDAR sensing system specifically designed for precision agriculture, to face the urgent requirements of non-invasive timely and enhanced retrieving of high-quality and heterogeneous information.

PHOOD is a PRIN  (Progetti di ricerca di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale - Significant National Interest Research Projecs) project funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).

PHOOD started on February 1st 2017 and will last for 3 years. It will involve research teams from four different Italian Research Institutions and Universities, under the coordination of Prof. Antonella Bogoni, PHOOD Principal Investigator.
